A Day Among Giants: Sequoia National Park
The Cranky Campers pay a visit to the largest trees on earth: the giant sequoias in Sequoia National Park. We also learn a few things while on the trip about having grace for each other and learning when to slow down.
Hiking the Angeles: Mt. Islip
In the Angeles National Forest, we took the beautiful hike up to Mt. Islip and Windy Gap starting from Crystal Lake.
America’s Everglades
Everglades National Park is the southernmost park in the contiguous 48 states, and is a land shaped by the flow of water. This habitat is home to a diversity of plants and animals- including the famed American alligator. On this trip, we explored the Anhinga Trail boardwalk and kayaked in Flamingo. Monrovia Canyon Park
On a quiet day, we visited a familiar local park to break up the doldrums of distance learning. Monrovia Canyon Park is a local park in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains that offers miles of hiking trails, scenic views, and a popular waterfall.
