Adventuring past Prague, the Cranky Camper family celebrates Emily's birthday with an outing to Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. We rode the Diana Funicular Railway to Výšina přátelstvà and explored the Svatý Linhart Preserve. The visit to Karlovy Vary would not have been complete without dessert at the Cafe Pupp in the historic Grandhotel Pupp, where scenes from the 007 flick 'Casino Royale' were filmed.
rom the moment we stepped off the bus at the station in Český Krumlov, it felt as though we were stepping into a fairy tale. The sweeping views of a medieval town nestled into rolling hills with the vibrant colors of autumn were like those one could find in a story book. And of course, no fairy tale would be complete without a castle, and the Krumlov Castle does not disappoint. It even has a moat filled not with water, but with bears.
In the third post of a five-part series, Emily and I visited Prague Castle and Golden Lane on a warm summer day. We later returned with the family and visited the inside of St. Vitus Cathedral.
In this second post in a five-part series, I took a walk around Prague 1 while Emily was at an orientation. My route took me to the Jewish Quarter, the Charles Bridge, Lennon Wall, and of course, Old Town Square.
The first in a five-part series, we flew to Prague, Czech Republic to drop Emily off at university. On this trip, we visit some famous landmarks- as well as make trips to IKEA to set up her dorm.
