At the end of the summer, I revisited Everglades National Park. On this visit, the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center was now open, and I was able to spend some time watching a September Florida thunderstorm from the outside porch overlooking a manmade pond and the river of grass. I also revisited the Anhinga and Gumbo Limbo Trails and trekked over to the Long Pine Trail.
A hike down memory lane, this post revisits our 2016 trip to Flagstaff. We visited the Flagstaff area national monuments: Sunset Crater Volcano, Wupatki, and Walnut Canyon.
While San Diego, California is known for its scenic beaches and craft beer, there are also many opportunities for hiking and recreation a bit further inland where the sea breezes still blow.
On a quiet day, we visited a familiar local park to break up the doldrums of distance learning. Monrovia Canyon Park is a local park in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains that offers miles of hiking trails, scenic views, and a popular waterfall.
This final post in our Great British Adventure series focuses on the Tower of London. Since it was built in the 1100s, the Tower has served many purposes: armoury, treasury, Royal Mint, housing for the Crown Jewels, and very famously a prison. This was an interesting and educational experience for the family and definitely a must-do on any London itinerary. Cheers!
