It doesn't happen too often, but sometimes there are malfunctions or other issues with intricate parade floats. As a result of the small fire on the Chinese American Heritage Foundation's entry and subsequent delay in the parade, news coverage cut before the Royal Cadet band and last three floats. Our coverage of the 130th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. In addition to all the beautiful floats, it was neat to see the float Emily and her Venturing Crew worked on as volunteers.
When plans changed due to a brush fire, we were suggested a new hike. We explored Millard Canyon in the Angeles National Forest above Altadena, California. The trail was a short, fun adventure through a green canyon and lead to a lovely waterfall.
